How Google Search Plus has changed SEO and what it will mean to you

They say that referral is the best form of marketing!  Google believes this too with the release of the algorithm that will influence your searches.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) has changed again with the new Google Search Plusthat was introduced in July last year.  SEO is simply explained as making your website relevant or seen by search engines an authority on search terms that are relevant to your business.  This has been successfully done in the past by making you website crawlable, using fresh content, creating links and over all being user-friendly.

The search results now have shifted again with yet another recent change in Google’s algorithm.  When Google released Google Plus everyone was thinking it is just another form of Social Media but now the combination of over 90 million users on Google Plus and the addition on the plus buttons on the search results  you can see importance

Now when signed into Google your search results will be influenced by your circle of friends. An example would be if I were to Plus on the search result for GCweb then this would then rank very highly in all my circles of friends that I currently have when they search for Keywords that are relevant to GCweb.

Now it seems your friend’s online experiences are more relevant than ever for search results.

What are your thoughts?  Are you happy for your search experience to be influenced by your friends?
