To all our valued Customers
The email scams just continue to flow on in 2012 – and this one nearly caught us out so we thought we would share with you what it looks like!
It takes the form of a legitimate looking invoice and hold some seriousness when the email announces that it is the “Second Invoice Overdue Notice” – With invoices coming via email and attachments these days, it hold full credibility that this could have accidentally been missed over the break and with all of our catching up now that we are back at work, a simple click can cause all sorts of problems when you open an attachment of this nature!
1st Tip
We had no idea who the company was!
2nd Tip
It was sent to “Undisclosed Recipients” – this should tell you that it’s an email not sent directly to you.
It’s so important to NEVER open an attachment on a suspicious email.
Opening an attachment, which could possibly contain a virus could give your computer a bug that will either crash your hard drive or capture your keystrokes, (including passwords), and send them back to the hacker . . . or worse!
Please feel free to share this latest SCAM!
